- Find the exact model and system in your device information.
- Check the exact app name, developer and region in its official store.
- Before paying, confirm access, any separate app charges and your chosen plan.
A similar name does not mean the same app. Treat IBO Player³, SmartOne Pro and Flix Pro Player as separate products; use the exact title and developer when installing.
These are examples of independent apps, not a tested compatibility list or a statement of partnership. Availability depends on the model, system and store region. A player alone does not include our IPTV plan or channels; check any app charges separately.
Three separate things: TV, app and plan
Your TV determines which apps it can run. An app is a player with its own capabilities and potentially a separate charge. An IPTV plan is a separate offering. Installing an app does not in itself add channels or a subscription.
Check compatibility before paying for a plan or app. Note the model, approximate model year, system, and the app name and version if you already use one. If a detail is unknown, say so rather than guessing.
Where to start on your television
| What the TV uses | Where to check | What to record |
|---|---|---|
| Samsung running Tizen | TV information and the Apps store | Exact model, year and app name |
| LG running webOS | TV information and LG Content Store | Model, webOS version and store region |
| Android TV or Google TV | Device information and the TV app store | Model, system and TV app |
| Another or unknown system | Manufacturer instructions for the exact model | Model and available app-installation options |
Do not infer the system from the brand alone. Use instructions for your model; menus can vary by year, software and market.
Samsung: check the model and apps, not just screen size
Samsung gives the route Settings / All Settings → Support → About This TV for device information. Some devices use another label. Record the model and software version, not the serial number. Samsung’s model table distinguishes Tizen from its older platforms.
Search for the exact app in Apps. Samsung’s instructions cover apps available in the TV’s store. Note whether you can find and install it and who its developer is. A similar name or availability in another country does not establish availability on your TV.
LG: model, webOS and store country
Find the model and webOS version in TV information. For models from 2023, LG gives Settings → Support → TV Information; older years use different paths. Refer to your model’s instructions if those menus are missing.
Check LG Content Store for the app on your model and in your region. LG notes that availability also depends on the TV’s purchase region. Record the actual store region and your viewing country; these may differ.
Android TV and Google TV: check the television app
Google TV is an interface running on Android TV OS. Android TV devices without that interface also exist. In device information, record the displayed system and model, even if an external player has a different brand from your screen.
On Google TV, use search or the Apps tab to find an app and open its page if available. On Android TV, use the television’s Google Play Store. Check the exact name, developer and installation option.
Finding an app on your phone does not establish that a TV version exists or works with a chosen plan. Check the player, access and any app charges separately before paying.
What about an older TV or an unknown system?
If you cannot find an app store, look up the manufacturer’s instructions using the exact model. A television web browser is not the same as a supported app. Do not assume Android instructions apply to a different system.
With an external player connected by HDMI, check that player’s model, system and app, not just the TV brand. Ask for a verifiable solution for your situation before buying extra hardware. A factory reset or region change should not be the first step.
Prepare the details, step by step
Tick the steps as you read. This checklist does not send an enquiry or confirm compatibility.
Check the connection where the TV will actually be used. If comparing Wi-Fi and Ethernet, record what changes; a phone speed test alone does not describe every TV problem. For a limited mobile connection, use our data-usage guide. For another viewing country, read the Slovenian IPTV abroad guide.
Questions before setting up your TV
Does IPTV work on every Smart TV?
The Smart TV label alone cannot confirm that. The exact model, system, available app and chosen access need checking. This guide is not a list of tested models.
Are Google TV and Android TV the same?
Google TV is an interface on Android TV OS. Some Android TV devices do not have the Google TV interface. For a compatibility enquiry, give the model and system name displayed by your device.
What if the app is missing from my TV store?
Record the model, system and requested app name, then check the manufacturer’s instructions. Ask about another compatible option before paying. Do not assume a similarly named phone app is suitable for the television.
Does paying for an app include an IPTV plan?
Do not assume so. The app and IPTV plan are separate things. Before buying, check exactly what each payment covers and whether there are additional app charges.
Which details should I send for a TV check?
Send the brand and model, system, app name, viewing country, connection type and requested channels. For the initial check, do not send passwords, access links, serial numbers or sign-in details.
Send the model. Then choose a plan.
Check your device and requested channels first. Then compare plan durations and ask about simultaneous screens and any separate player charges before ordering.
